Carlee Wright

Research Associate & Creative Lead

Carlee brings her interdisciplinary experience and diverse skillsets to the ACER team, including a passion for partnerships and creative engagement. With a keen interest in One Health and public health, Carlee aims to utilize her skills to better understand issues at the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health and wellbeing and address agri-food challenges along the farm-to-fork continuum. Importantly, beyond developing this knowledge, Carlee is interested in approaches to sharing information that are relevant and impactful for a range of different audiences.

Carlee completed an MSc in epidemiology from the University of Guelph in 2017, where she also earned her BSc in biological sciences (2014). Her Masters research used community-based approaches and quantitative statistics to examine drinking water consumption patterns and impacts of water storage on gastrointestinal illness. Carlee’s subsequent years of professional experience as a Project Coordinator at the Ontario Veterinary College, within the University of Guelph, and University of Alberta School of Public Health have provided her with a wide array of skills in research management and international multidisciplinary collaboration, which she is excited to use to support the objectives of the ACER team.
